HoneyPezil Side Effects and Safety: What to Check First
HoneyPezil side effects have not been studied, because no trial tested the product. Its label lines have known cautions: arginine can interact with nitrates, erection medicines, blood pressure, diabetes and blood thinner drugs. The label tells pregnant or nursing mothers, anyone under 18 and anyone with a known condition to ask a physician first.

The short answer01
What are the side effects of HoneyPezil?
Nobody has published the side effects of HoneyPezil itself, because no study tested the product. What we can do is read the seven label lines and report what trusted sources say about each one.
Mayo Clinic lists these effects for oral L-arginine: nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, bloating, headache, gout, allergic reactions and worsened asthma. It calls oral arginine generally safe, and also lists interactions and a caution after a heart attack (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine). No source tested the label amounts, so we cannot say whether these occur.
For beta alanine, the known effect is tingling (paresthesia), which the NIH says can start at about 800 mg in one dose (NIH ODS, Exercise and athletic performance supplements). The label has 40 mg. For niacin, flushing is typically tied to 30 to 50 mg or more of nicotinic acid, and the label has 7.5 mg NE of an unnamed form (NIH ODS, Niacin).
| Label line | Per capsule | Known effects or cautions |
|---|---|---|
| Niacin | 7.5 mg NE | Flushing, mainly with nicotinic acid; interacts with isoniazid and pyrazinamide |
| Calcium | 18 mg | None expected at a trace amount |
| L-arginine and AKG | At most 400 mg | Stomach upset, blood pressure and blood sugar interactions |
| L-citrulline | At most 200 mg | No effects found at this amount |
| Beta alanine | 40 mg | Tingling |
The label does not print the niacin form, or how much of the AKG and malate lines is arginine and citrulline. Bad reactions can be reported to the FDA through MedWatch (FDA, MedWatch).
Medicine check02
Is HoneyPezil safe with my medicines?
It depends on the medicine. The strongest cautions are for arginine, and they involve nitrates, erection medicines, blood pressure drugs, blood thinners, diabetes medicine and potassium-sparing diuretics.
Mayo Clinic says blood pressure may drop too low with nitrates and sildenafil, bleeding may rise with blood thinners, blood sugar may fall with diabetes drugs, and potassium may rise with potassium-sparing diuretics (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine). Nitrates and erection medicines should not be combined, so a prescriber needs your whole list (StatPearls, Nitrates and erection medicines). Niacin has its own caution with the tuberculosis medicines isoniazid and pyrazinamide (NIH ODS, Niacin).
Tick what applies to you. The checker shows which label lines matter and why. It is a prompt for a pharmacist, not a decision.
Nothing ticked. Still read the label warnings and tell your doctor about every supplement you take.
- Nitrates for chest pain, or erection medicines such as sildenafil or tadalafilL-arginine (base) · L-arginine AKG 2:1 extract
Arginine can lower blood pressure, and these medicines do too. Nitrates must not be combined with erection medicines, so a doctor should know everything you take. Ask your doctor or pharmacist first. (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine) (StatPearls, Nitrates and erection medicines)
- Blood pressure medicineL-arginine (base) · L-arginine AKG 2:1 extract · L-citrulline HCl · L-citrulline malate
Arginine lowered blood pressure in trials at gram doses, and citrulline analyses disagree. No source tested 400 mg or 200 mg, but ask your doctor before you start. (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine) (Shiraseb 2022, Arginine and blood pressure)
- A heart attack in the past, or heart diseaseL-arginine (base) · L-arginine AKG 2:1 extract
Mayo says arginine is not recommended after a heart attack, and a trial after a heart attack saw deaths in the arginine group. Ask your cardiologist first. (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine) (Schulman 2006, Arginine after a heart attack)
- Diabetes medicine or insulinL-arginine (base) · L-arginine AKG 2:1 extract · Niacin
Arginine may lower blood sugar, and high-dose nicotinic acid can raise it. Check with your doctor and watch your readings. (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine) (NIH ODS, Niacin)
- Blood thinner or daily aspirinL-arginine (base) · L-arginine AKG 2:1 extract
Mayo lists a possible bleeding risk with arginine. Ask before you start, and tell your surgeon or dentist. (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine)
- A potassium-sparing diureticL-arginine (base) · L-arginine AKG 2:1 extract
Mayo lists a caution for arginine with potassium-sparing diuretics. Ask your pharmacist. (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine)
- Isoniazid or pyrazinamide (tuberculosis medicines)Niacin
The NIH lists interactions between niacin and these medicines. Ask your pharmacist. (NIH ODS, Niacin)
- Gout, asthma or allergyL-arginine (base) · L-arginine AKG 2:1 extract
Mayo lists gout, allergy and asthma worsening among arginine's effects. Ask your doctor first. (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine)
- A medicine you think may affect your memory
NIA and Mayo both say some medicines can cause forgetfulness or confusion. Do not stop a medicine on your own. Ask the prescriber or your pharmacist to review the list, supplements included. (NIA, Cognitive health and older adults) (Mayo Clinic, Memory loss: when to seek help)
- Surgery in the next two weeks
Supplements can raise bleeding risk or affect anesthesia, so tell your surgeon about every supplement well before surgery. (NCCIH, Using Supplements Wisely)
A teaching aid, not medical advice, and not a full list of interactions. Your pharmacist can check your exact medicines.
Keep taking prescribed medicine. Never stop or change it because of a supplement; ask the prescriber or a pharmacist.
Extra caution03
Who should ask a doctor before taking HoneyPezil?
The label says pregnant or nursing mothers, children under 18 and individuals with a known medical condition should consult a physician before using it. Adults who have had a heart attack should also ask first.
Mayo Clinic says oral arginine is not recommended after a recent heart attack. A trial of arginine in people after a heart attack was stopped after deaths in the arginine group (Schulman 2006, Arginine after a heart attack). That trial used far larger doses, so it says nothing about 400 mg, but it is a reason to ask a cardiologist.
Gout and asthma are on Mayo's list for arginine too (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine). Tell your surgeon about every supplement before an operation (NCCIH, Using Supplements Wisely). The who it is for page has a short yes or no check.

When should you call a doctor or 911?
Call 911 for chest pain, trouble breathing, a drooping face, arm weakness, slurred speech or sudden confusion. Those are not side effects to wait out.
The CDC lists chest pain, shortness of breath and feeling faint among heart attack signs (CDC, Heart attack signs), and face drooping, arm weakness and speech trouble among stroke signs. It says not to drive yourself (CDC, Stroke signs and symptoms).
For a rash, swelling or stomach upset that does not pass, stop the HoneyPezil capsule and call a doctor or pharmacist. That applies to HoneyPezil only, never to prescribed medicine.

Safety beyond the label05
Is HoneyPezil tested for safety?
We found no published safety study of HoneyPezil and no lab report for it. The FDA does not approve dietary supplements before they are sold (FDA, Q&A on Dietary Supplements).
The label shows no USP mark, and USP verification is voluntary (USP, Verification Program). US good manufacturing practice rules exist (21 CFR Part 111 (eCFR)), but they are not proof for any one bottle. See the testing and quality page.
Check that the safety seal is intact, and compare the Supplement Facts on your bottle with the label printed on this site, because the seller shows more than one panel (read why). Counterfeits are common among third-party online sellers (Consumer Reports, Counterfeits online).
